The global office directory held useful information, but the legacy experience exposed that complexity as a long alphabetical list. The opportunity wasn’t to remove information. It was to make information easier to navigate.

02 / PROBLEM

The information was there. The experience made users work for it.

01
A–Z NAVIGATION
Required users to know the country they were looking for.

02
DENSE INFORMATION
Country, language and social links repeated across a long page.

03
LIMITED OFFICE CONTEXT
It behaved more like a country directory than an office discovery tool.

The legacy experience was optimized for listing. We needed to optimize for discovery.

The biggest lesson: complexity doesn’t always need to be reduced. It needs to be structured.

01 SIMPLIFY THROUGH INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
Make the path through complex information clear.

02 DESIGN SYSTEMS, NOT SCREENS
A pattern should support local variation without breaking.

03 CONNECT DESIGN TO BEHAVIOR
Define what better discovery should make possible.

A better location experience isn’t about showing less information. It’s about helping people understand where they are, where they can go, and what they can do next.
